Sivaji Ain't No Boss, It's Samy!
Whaddaya know, this Hindraf thing is playing itself like a good Tamil movie. The summary goes like this;
1. Five men organized a rally because they don't think the Indians are getting a good deal despite being the loyal citizens of this country for a couple of decades.
2. They figured the man who didn't do enough for the community is none other than the big guy himself who goes by the name Samy Vellu.
3. They got arrested and sent to prison under ISA. It's no joke because this simply means you're not going home for Deepavali for at least two years. Maybe more.
4. Now Samy guy is saying to the government, 'I want you fellas to release these five innocent men. Otherwise I'm gonna do something you might regret, or my name ain't Samy Vellu if I can't get these men out by Monday next week.'
5. The five men in prison are thinking; should we walk out a free man if Samy manage to get us out or do we stick to our principle? One of them may be saying something like this; look, fellas, freedom is freedom no matter where or who it came from. Amnesty from agung or a threat from uncle Samy, what's the difference? The point is we get to walk out of this dump a free man. We could be a bigger national hero than that Doctor Sheikh guy who went to space. Heck, we could even be bigger than Mahatma Ghandi and Shah Rukh Khan put together. I'd say, let's take it.'
6. After a bit of songs and dance...
7. They find out that Samy is their long lost father.
The end.
I love Tamil movie but I'm not sure if I love Sivaji anymore now that I've got a better guy who goes around with a stage name Samy Vello to play hero.

Salam Bergen,
Maybe he is the incarnation of MGR.
Salam bro,
Have never been a Tamil nor Hindi movie fan, though admittedly, have watched a couple or more of each. However, this movie you are referring to reeks of some insider play like that movie about NYSE starring Michael Douglas, that's the info I was given.
As for SV trying to be a hero, he has always been trying to do that for ages now. But why just those 5? What about the more than 70 others still held there?
That Samy is their long lost father part is brilliant.

Alamak!! I TERdelete it lah, Sir.
Now I re-comment:-
:Am not a fan of Tamil or Hindi drama/movie/theatre because one thing for sure : ALL are predictable no matter who's the hero.
But I agree with 'Kata Tak Nak' ;)"
Bergen Sir,
What if he fails to spring these five out? He will suffer the worst shame of his life that even being God like he cant do much to help.
I agree fully with Shah that he shouldnt be seeking the release of these five but also the rest (more than 70 of them) since they were never tried and proven guilty and so who says there are guilty of any offence?
Salam Bergen:
Samy Vellu was the Boss for 20 odd years before suddenly some movie goons came along and spoiled SV's party. But SV thought the goons action had no effect on him and as a alltime star he brushes off the goons' threat.
Suddenly at the middle of the movie after several songs(and changing clothes 10 times) SV was defeated by the people. And he knew this must be the goons' work.
Tumbling down hill while still singing and dancing,SV knocked his head against a coconut tree which knocked in some sense into his skull, finally.
So now he knew he has to play his card right.Never mind that he hated those 5 goons,he knew the moviegoers liked and trusted the goons now despite them being thrown in jail without trial.
SV knew to be the star again he has to make all the right moves. This moves will bring back the moviegoers to him again.
What other way if not to call for the release of the 5 goons. This call will make SV looked good in the eyes of most moviegoers, at least that is what SV is hoping for.If the goons are released SV promised that he will embrace them in public for all the moviegoers to see. See how big SV is,embracing his enemies whiuch might be the reason he fell form favour.
But wait a minute. SV heard Inspector Sahab Hameed Albar sdaid there is no way the 5 goons are gonna be let of.Not by calls made by SV.
Is SV dissapointed with Inspector sahab's statement?
No.Infact SV is having a big smile right now.He wants to laugh but he knew its not cue for laughter yet.
He is glad the goons wil be in jail for 2 Divalis. But he had announced to the whole Tamilwood that he wanted the 5 goons out. He had shown to Tamilwood he has a big heart.
its Inspector Sahab Hameed who still want to keep the goons inside.
Now SV is still smiling, ear to ear. In a moment he'll have to stop smiling and put up a sad face for the Tamilwood moviegoers to see. See how sad SV is when the goons will be locked up for another 2 Deepavalis.
And SV knew his star will rise again.
Zabs: LOL, maybe. How long has been been since MGR died. Maybe there's a waiting period before once can reincarnate him. LOL.
Cakapaje: I'm a fan of Tamil films, but not Hindi. I watch Arabic movies too, to brush up on my rusty Arabic.
Kata Tak Nak: But isn't he their real father? Oh sorry,I got that wrong. LOL.
Zackzara: Yes, the movies may be predictable but that's the beauty of Tamil movies. You know how the movie is gonna end but still how the story gets you to the end is an art in itself. Song and dance included.
Zawi: Hamid Alba has spoken. No way the law is going to be made any special for the five to be released. Ali Rustam too has spoken along the same line. As a matter of fact, one of the wives of those five has spoken too. She has more faith in Karpal Singh and she'd never go Samy for help, not if her curry depends on it. It's a tricky situation no doubt but Samy's the new hero. Like Sivaji, he'll figure something out. In the meantime, let's enjoy the song and dance.
Tokasid: My experience with Tamil movies tells me that Samy knows something we don't. He'll by-pass Hamid Alba and Ali Rustam the way Savaji jumps off the train into a busy market square to fight off 700villains. He'll do all right. Otherwise I'm back to making Sivaji my hero again.
To everyone who dropped by this on your way to some place special, thank you for coming. You be sure to have a nice day now, y'hear?
