It Doesn't Take Much To Make A Malay To See Blood.

Someone in UMNO or PAS must have prayed to ALLAH with humility and sincerity that help came down from the sky in a guy called P.Uthayakumar. I'm sorry for Sub-Inspector Chew from Dang Wangi Police Station who took a brick to the head that got him in a lot of pain. There's a picture of him in the Star and I know people are gonna say, ohhh that picture was Photoshopped. I hope you are doing all right, sir. Maybe you've heard the news that the Uthaya guy walked from the court today because they forgot to attach something he said in Tamil. But that's OK. A Malay saw him on TV looking jubilant like a champion now that the government didn't get him. He's a smart guy so he must be thinking the Malay Islamic Government is nothing but a bunch of stupid Muslim Malays who don't even know how to charge people properly.

He won. But I'm not too sure about what UMNO is gonna do to re-arrange the allocation of Indian seats in the next general election. Afterall UMNO has gotta listen to the Malays who will have read the letter this Uthaya wrote and the Malays are gonna stand behind UMNO like never before. And this is before the full gerak gempur machinery is set in motion to every kampong and daerah through Kemas' in its program prihatin rakyat, gotong royong, program anak angkat, ceramah, kenduri kendara, majlis penyerahan hak tanah, pemberian biasiswa, pembinaan masjid, jembatan dan sebagainya demi kesejahteraan rakyat. I reckon UMNO doesn't have to use kain batik, kain pelikat and basikal this time. No need to. All they need is this letter. It's enough to stoke the fire inside a Malay to see blood.

Thank you, Mr P.Uthayakumar. Most probably the letter is already being distributed to all the masjid and surau and the content might even be dealt with at length in a Friday khutbah.

Dear Sirs,

RE: 1. COMMONWEALTH ETHNIC INDIAN PEACE LOVING SUBJECTS IN MALAYSIA PERSECUTED BY GOVERNMENT BACKED ISLAMIC EXTREMIST VIOLENT ARMED TERRORIST WHO LAUNCHED A PRE DAWN VIOLENT ARMED ATTACK AND DESTROYED THE KG JAWA MARIAMAN HINDU TEMPLE AT 4.00 A.M THIS MORNING (15.11.2007).

2. APPEAL FOR U.K TO MOVE EMERGENCY U.N RESOLUTION CONDEMNING “ETHNIC CLEANSING” IN MALAYSIA.

3. APPEAL TO REFER MALAYSIA TO THE WORLD COURT AND INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT FOR CRIMES AGAINST IT’S OWN ETHNIC MINORITY INDIANS.

We refer to the above critical matters in Malaysia but which generally gets the least attention locally even by the Opposition parties, NGO’s, the Malaysian Human Rights Commission and the media for this community is generally regarded as politically insignificant, do not draw local or international funding and are deemed not pressworthy. To the contrary the Malaysian government has successfully projected itself to the world as a modern Islamic thinking country which is not true.

The ethnic minority Indians in Malaysia were brought in to Malaysia by the British some 200 over years ago. Since independence in 1957 the Malaysian Indians have been permanently colonialised by the Islamic fundamentalist and Malay chauvinists UMNO led Malaysian government.

Among the recent atrocities committed by this government are as follows:-

1.100 over Indians were slashed and killed by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government in the Kampung Medan mini genocide. Despite numerous appeals, the Malaysian Human Rights Commission has refused to hold a Public Inquiry. The UMNO controlled Malaysian courts struck off a victim’s public interest civil suit for a Public Inquiry to be held without even the said UMNO controlled government having to file in their defence. The UMNO controlled Attorney General and the Inspector General of Police refused to investigate and / or initiate an inquest into the death of at least six Indians in this tragedy despite.

2. Every week one person at average is killed in a shot to kill policy and in every 2 weeks one person is killed in police custody. About 60% of these victims are Indians though they form only 8% of the Malaysian population.

3. In every three weeks one Hindu temple is demolished in Malaysia.

The latest being the demolishment of the Mariaman temple in Padang Jawa, Shah Alam, Selangor early this morning (15.11.2007) and the next being the (Mutaiya) Hindu temple in Sungai Petani scheduled for the 29.11.2007.

A violent armed pre down attack at 4.00a.m this morning was launched by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government backed by about 600 police, riot police, Islamic extremist and armed terrorists which completely destroyed this temple.

In an attack two weeks ago, uniformed police, riot police and city Council officers hurled rocks and attacked unarmed Hindu devotees with knives, sticks and iron rods.

At least 20 Hindu devotees were seriously injured and 19 arrested including 4 of their United Kingdom trained lawyers in direct violation of Article 5 (Right to life) Article 8 (Equality) Article 11 (Freedom of Religion) Section 295 (defiling a place of worship), Section 296 (disturbing a religious assembly), 298A(causing racial disharmony) and Section 441(criminal trespass) of the Malaysian Penal Code.

These authorities are plagued by an above the law mindset and in fact liberally take the law into their own hands. These atrocities however does not happen to almost all Islamic places of worship. Please visit http://www.policewatchmalaysia.com/ for further and better particulars.

4. State sponsored direct discrimination against the Indians in Public University intakes, Indian (Tamil) Schools, skills training institutes, civil service and private sector job opportunities, business and license opportunities and in almost all other aspects of daily life.

Despite our hundreds of letters, appeals and pleas to the Malaysian King and Sultans, the Prime Minister, Attorney General, Inspector General of Police, Ministers, Chief Ministers and the latest being our letters to the Prime Minister dated 29.10.2007 and 30.10.2007 and to the Attorney General dated 1.11.2007 the Malaysian authorities are only proceeding with greater ferocity and with impunity with very little regard for the Federal Constitution and laws of Malaysia. So please help us.

CONCLUSION

We fear that this peace loving Indian community of Tamil origin having been pushed to the corner and the persecution getting worse by the day may be forced to into terrorism in a matter of time as what has happened to the Sri Lankan Tamils.

APPEAL

On our part we are committed to a peaceful and lawful struggle and pray and appeal that the Government of the United Kingdom:-

1. Moves an emergency United Nations resolution condemning these state sponsored atrocities and persecutions of Malaysian Indians in Malaysia.

2. Refers Malaysia to the World Court and the International Criminal Court for Crimes against it’s own ethnic minority Indians

Thank You,

Yours Faithfully

P.Uthayakumar
Legal Adviser

Salam Bergen:

This Hindraf boss the walk free lawyer sure did a great favour to UMNO and BN.For reasons only known to him( well maybe his friends too), Hindraf had given the govt a strong reasons to refuse ppl who would like to organise some mass exercise by walking on a Saturday or Sunday in Kuala Lumpur.

And Hindraf with all their clever lawyers trained in UK, had somehow seen it fit to come out with a strong memorandum which is doing the BN/UMNO govt a big favour, what with the GE looming. And the footeges shown on TV3 tonight with the injured Inspector is a sure 'most played video' award winner for the next GE.

With the strong memorandum which calls for blood-for-blood, I am not sure if the Hindraf bosses will be invited as a guest of honour to Kamunting resort for a free minimum 2 years stay,FOC!But I am sure if a Malay guy came up with a less demanding letter, he'll be in Kamunting in no time.

And,hey!Pssttt...!! I think this lawywer guy wh is the Hindraf boss might get a Datukship next time around.Don't you think so??

Bergen sir, your tone is somewhat different these day .. you're beginning to blog "like people who used to hold high-profile jobs in the government".

Boxxtomoi: LOL, just tryin' to make Bergentest read like one of those blogs written by people with brain. LOL. Obviously it ain't working, eh?

I love Buakaw, his no-mercy approach to a fight. Actually competitve martial art should be this way. I've seen a lot of martials being watered down to look more like ballet instead of of instilling in the exponents the desire when they get into a fight. Buah Mersing and Gaya Lima used to be taught this way by the old masters and the second generation. But the third generation instructors are more interested to popularize the art by toning down the training and sparing section to attract people. The say, kalau ajar keras orang lari. Tapi they forget, ajar yang keras tulah yang original. Dulu bila belajar sampai lebam, so your muscles become alert.

I reckon Muay Thai still teaches things the old way. And some silat pun ada yang came to their senses to start going back to the old ways of training. Like Gerak Lian, Lian Yunan, Kalimah, and others. The same thing with Kali Pekiti Tersia and Escrima.

Oops, panjang sikit cerita ni. Get me on email so we can cerita panjang. And kalau ada masa boleh datang tengok kat gelanggang.

Cheers. I promise not to write 'like people who used to hold high-profile jobs in the government.'

It would not surprise me if there is more to Uthaya than meets the eye. He did UMNO a favour. He is not stupid. He knows the implications of his actions and yet he did it. Either he is out to kill SV or he is smiling with PL.

As far as this Malay is concerned, its gonna take more than one stupid, ill-conceived letter to change my vote.

Its okay once in a blue moon for you to write like ppl who have brains about the goings on in this country.

You see, you gave it to us from a different corner( well can't say whether its the blue corner or the red corner or right from the middle of the ring)and thats refreshing. Bcoz ppl with brains they slammed hard. And ppl without the brains they defended hard. So you gave a different perspective to us, the perspective of an observer.
So, do carry on writing stuff like these too.

ps- you name was mentioned in Awang Goneng's book GUIT(if not mistaken page 233,I think). You're glam man!

Kata Tak Nak: Yes, I don't think a letter like this will make you vote UMNO/BN. But I believe it will make you vote a Malay Muslim. It doesn't really matter which party he belongs to. The whole idea is to reduce the number of seats for those who stepped out of line in.

Tokasid: Alamak, malu. I haven't read it yet. Not that I'm reading anything now other than recipi books. LOL. I think I've been to both blue and red corner, and I've been in the middle too as umpire. LOL. How did you know? LOL.

Well, I've voted for Karpal because I know he stood a better chance of winning and he did. Lets say this time around, there is a Malay from PAS, a Chinese or Indian from DAP and a Chinese from MCA or Gerakan. Would I vote the Malay? No. He has no business standing there coz he would definitely lose. I'd vote for DAP coz I don't want to waste my vote.

I look at it this way. The person I vote, if he/she wins, is my representative, not my leader or 'Pemimpin'. I don't vote my pemimpin, I choose him/her. It is my democratic right to choose whomever I see fit to lead me, not vote for someone from a list over which I have no control.

This would be different if the person whom I intend to vote swore that he would destroy my religion and race. Then I would not vote. If he only seeked equality for all irrespective of race and religion, than I think my religion oks it.

If I am convinced that UMNO is truly out to defend the Malays and and uphold the teachings of the religion which include fairness and justice for all and which frowns upon self-enrichment and corruption, then they get my vote. As it is right now, I don't see this happening.

Should a miracle happens and the oppositions wrest control from the present regime and they prove to be a bunch of no-gooders themselves then I'd drop them and stay away from voting until a more viable alternative presents itself. Thats just the way I am.

Kata Tak Nak: That's the way it's gonna be. Yup, I hear ya, cikgu. You know what you are doing and this is as good as gold and you don't need me to tell you what you should or shouldn't do. Neither do I want to, I have no business to meddle into someone else's political stance. I don't work for any political group, I don't plan and I don't think I want to. But one thing for sure, cikgu, warga silat ditarbiah lain sikit dengan konsep bangsa. Mungkin keterlaluan tapi ada masa kena macam ni. Like you, I too know what I'm doing.

The Sunday walk, for whatever reasons right or wrong, was a cry for help.

When one's back is to the wall, one can and will do pretty silly things and I believe the govt will be making a grave mistake to ignore this.

The Malays already had their walk on 10 Nov and many of them are from your home state. They didnt come all the way just to enjoy the scenery. I was there.

The Ancient Mariner: Yes, no doubt about it that the rally was a cry for help. It should have been purely for that purpose that the rally should have been organized but we know better now that someone doesn't have the wisdom to word the letter in a pleading tone so as to solicit sympathy. And to push the idea that Malaysia should be put on trial. You know THIS is gonna make Malaysian excited. And you know too that THIS is gonna make the Malays even more excited, unless of course, that Malay is so westernized that he or she doesn't wanna have anything to do with things Malay anymore.

The BERSIH walk was for every Malaysian. And it's the Malay who had take the severe beating. Compared to what the Indians are being treated by the cops, I'd say the cops are being nice to them.

Just a little bit more, capt. I read people saying the cops are harsh and brutal. Gosh, this makes me laugh. Expect police brutality when you take to the street. It's the same in Seattle, Seoul, Bangkok, Paris or London. To a cop every guy not in the same uniform is a potential enemy with concealed weapon which he won't think twice to use.

Sorry, sir. I think I'm being a little vocal on this issue because it means something to me that people are doing this to my country and saying things about my race. Anyone would, don't you think so?
