You Will Never Know
I have stopped counting
the moments I imagined I'd run into you.
In it
I imagined both of us suddenly finding each other
in a busy mall in the suburb
Shoppers all around us not knowing for a moment
that you and I, long time ago
had promised to love each other to the last day.
I imagined
on a busy sidewalk
you walking towards me
we meet eye to eye
and the world around us
doesn't exist
except maybe for the street lights
and the faint sound of traffic
somewhere in the background.
You will never know
how I dream hard of the day to meet you again
to start over.
To start over.

How beautiful *sigh*
reminds me of that whitney houston song "Run To You". How sweet Bergen. You don't know how good it is to know that there are still men like you around, who are in touch with their feelings and not ashamed to express it.
Beyooooootiful words. I like.
it's a great achievement to be able to syncronize and be one with your inner self. and to come out with such poem,is a bonus! heh!
A very nice one sir...:-))
woi tu gambak Liz..
mana gambak si dia noh??
But what if you meet her now and sees that just like Liz Taylor, she has put on the extra extra pounds and wheezing with a heart ailment?
Olas
Wah so poignant...
ada slo mo effect tak? aaah, in my dreams it is always in slo mo mode, may be because the programme is old and ancient, and may be too because I am old, but it doesnt stop me dreaming. Good one, bergen! When ua re not too busy teach AG a thing or two..Once he penned me a poem. All because I cried as he was leaving for England. The title is "You dont look nice when you cry' I read and cried even more!
o dear, you are a lost cause then.
AuntyN: Thank you, ma'am.
Anedra: Thank you, ma'am.
Noni: (Don't know what to say, ma'am. Sorry for ma'am, ma'am.)
Alif's Mommy: Thank you, ma'am.
Thinktankgal: Someone emailed me about this copywriter thing. What does a copywriter do. I know they are quite important in advertising.
Anggerik Merah: Thank you, ma'am.
Ailin: I am in my 40s, ma'am. Yes, I am THAT old.
Dr Nurul: Gambaq dia masa dulu-dulu dah tak dak.
Dr Roza: I'd love her just the same, ma'am. It's not how big she is, it's how big my heart is.
Em: Thank you, ma'am.
Kak Teh: Trengganu natives' sense of humor is a little queer, ma'am. You should know by now. I have a lot to learn from AG.
ABWVLB: Where am I?
Nurul Bahiyah Baharudin: It was a short marriage, ma'am. We were too young to know any better about anything.
The beauty of your words and that pic of a young Liz Taylor sums up your longing quite astutely I would say....
Will you be able to meet her again and recite these words?
Lifebloom: I won't recite that because chances are I might even forget my name when I see her. I've played this over and over in my mind (in slo-mo, the way Kak Teh described it), thinking of what I'd say to her. There's a big chance all I will ever say is, wanna have some coffee?
u made me kye..
Bergen: I hope you meet her and will be able to have that coffee - its a start and who knows it may lead to something.
Like that guy in the movie Notting Hill said - "Its always nice when someone says that they want to go out with you"...or something to that effectlah....
*sigh* teringat plak citer.. hmmm, was it korean/ japanese/ chinese ? i'm a little confused with all this alih bahasa thingy going round but the english title read as 'turn left, turn right'. so lomantik lorh *double sigh*
really good bergen :)
Torts: (Don't know what to say.)
Lifebloom: I never stopped thinking, or hoping, that one fine day it will come true.
RedKebaya: Thank you, ma'am.
